Alexis Beck, MPH, RD, LDN · Brookline, MA
“A patient who has been managed has not yet been treated.”
Alexis’ story
For most of my career, the women and men who walked into my Brookline office had been told their weight was a discipline issue. They had tried harder for decades. The work always begins by hearing and assessing the challenge of your obesity, clinically, and the answers are usually different than they expected.
Twenty years into clinical practice, I lost forty-five pounds over three years. Not on a diet. Not by trying harder. It was a gentle clinical journey, because I chose to work simultaneously on fitness and metabolic regulation, together. Hormones. Inflammation markers. Sleep. Metabolic rate. Once I treated the right targets, the weight came off and stayed off.
That clinical journey is the foundation of NutritionRx. Every patient gets the version of care I would have wanted on the morning I finally read myself clinically. A careful, sensitive, thorough assessment before any prescription. Coordination with your physician. Long-term partnership, because that is how long sustained weight loss actually takes when you do it correctly.
“I lost forty-five pounds over three years. Not because I worked harder, because I finally read myself clinically.”
